That’s how resident Julian Rovito first heard about him. “We found him within the neighborhood on a corner during a makeshift dog house made out of a box,” Julian told Reshareworthy.com. “We have an area blog that alerted us about things .” Soon, Joey mobilized several kind residents to help him.

At first, Joey was scared of anyone approaching, in order that they took care of his immediate needs. They covered his cardboard box with a tarp to stay the rain off. They gave him extra blankets and gave him food and water. And that they kept an eye fixed on him. After a couple of days, they finally managed to lure him into a crate with food and drove him to Alton Road Animal Hospital where he's now being taken care of . The features a few health conditions from being neglected for so long, but because of donations coming in from animal lovers, and so the vets now taking care of him, Joey’s future looks tons brighter than it did every week ago. Animal Recovery Mission, a Miami-based rescue organization, also helped. “Animal Recovery Mission helps and guiding us along the way…They are going to be helping us place him during a family to continue his recovery,” Julian said.
