Dog Dumped In Cardboard Box Rescued By Neighbors Who Refused To Look The Other Way

It’s becoming only too common in neighborhoods across the us . Dogs being dumped by owners who not want them, leaving people to select up the pieces of a brokenhearted, sometimes broken, animal. Joey is one such dog. He was abandoned on the sidewalk with some blankets and water bowl during a Miami neighborhood.

That’s how resident Julian Rovito first heard about him. “We found him within the neighborhood on a corner during a makeshift dog house made out of a box,” Julian told “We have an area blog that alerted us about things .” Soon, Joey had several kindhearted residents mobilized to assist him.

At first, Joey was scared of anyone approaching, in order that they took care of his immediate needs. They covered his cardboard box with a tarp to stay the rain off. They gave him extra blankets and gave him food and water. and that they kept an eye fixed on him.

After a couple of days, they finally managed to lure him into a crate with food and drove him to Alton Road Animal Hospital where he's currently being taken care of .

He features a few health conditions from being neglected for therefore long, but because of donations coming in from animal lovers, and therefore the vets currently taking care of him, Joey’s future looks tons brighter than it did every week ago.

Miami-based rescue group, Animal Recovery Mission, has also reached bent help. “Animal Recovery Mission helps and guiding us along the way…They are going to be helping us place him during a family to continue his recovery,” Julian said.

Joey didn’t need to wait long to maneuver from care to an adoptive home because of Animal Recovery Mission and he was adopted shortly after his rescue.
