Girl Rescues Dying Dog And Then He Let’s Her Know It’s Time To Say ‘Goodbye’

Even though this homeless dog was too sickly to save lots of, Sophiane Nacer still wanted to offer him the simplest ‘end of days’ possible. She vowed that Hippo, an old stray covered in tumors, would only find love when he left this world.

“Even if it had been only for each day ,” Sophiane, the 19-year-old founding father of Cayleb’s Kindred Senior Dog Rescue, told TODAY, Hippo was getting to have the simplest Judgment Day ever. Sophiane adopted Hippo and brought him home from the shelter after the 5 day waiting period. The poor dog’s skin was painful to the touch. Sophiane wasn’t sure if Hippo could go through much of anything because he was in such much pain.

But all her doubts quickly faded when she saw his tail wag. There is hope for the sick dog. He FOUGHT to feel love and happiness before he left this world. So, Sophiane brought Hippo to Starbucks and purchased him a Puppuccino, the famous chain’s secret menu item that dogs go wild for, which is simply a cup crammed with delicious topping. The next day, Hippo was still in good spirits, so Sophiane brought him to a dog park where he could have some playtime. He loved every minute of it! On the other hand, he has something to say to Sophian.

This old dog, painful but hopeful, has something to tell his new friend… He was able to go. He is happy that he needs to spend that moment with Sophia but he was tired and in pain and it had been time to mention bye-bye. After the dog park was over, Sophia asked a veterinary euthanasia expert to come to her home. The veterinarian made him a roast chicken with tranquilizer in it. He needs to eat his last meal as comfortably as possible with Sophiane by his side, then drift into an easy permanent sleep. While this story is gloomy in numerous ways, it’s also quite uplifting. A dying dog who would have only known suffering need to spend the remainder of his life, though short, feeling loved and wanted.

May all dogs feel loved like this when they leave this world! R.I.P Hippo. You were a good boy!
