For one dog, who was head over heels in love as well as his family, being surrendered to a shelter broke him. The once happy dog was destroyed. He sat in his kennel, completely dejected, and stared at the wall. He didn't want to try to make contact with anyone who would let potential adopters pass by him. Because he refused to make eye contact with the adopter, unlike the dog on the opposite side, wagging its tail when people passed by, this worried the staff of the shelter. What if he never found a home? The sad dog waited for his family to return for him. It had been obvious. While he kept his distance as people walked past him, he would check them out from the corner of his kennel to find out if it had been his family. And when he realized these people were strangers, he would return to his sad spot and lay Backtrack .
