The St. Louis Wandering Rescue Team first spotted Fallon Marie hiding under a car with an extended chain hanging around her neck.
The stray dog had been abandoned with the chain still attached around her neck. She was forced to tug it behind her, and its weight made her drop her head.

Rescuers try to lure her over to them with some food, but she’s very timid and nervous initially.
But once Fallon Marie was safe and in their shelter, they rescued her from the chains. This must be painful for her, because rescuers later discovered that her chain weighed 10 pounds And she or he only weighs 31 pounds! She can finally lift her head!
