Sad Pit Bull Filmed ‘Crying’ At Shelter After Being Used For Breeding Then Dumped

It was Hell Bull’s tears that caught Sarah Sleime’s attention. Slime visits Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control (CMACC) in North Carolina often. But Cinnamon’s sad expression and slumped-over posture stood out.

The volunteer for nice Charlotte SPCA spoke with the shelter and learned that Cinnamon was presumably used as a breeding dog, but at 7 years aged and overweight, maybe her “owners” deemed her not useful. “Someone dumped this poor mama at the shelter, minus her babies,” Sleime wrote on Facebook. “Every time i ended to speak to her and say i used to be sorry her eyes would fill with tears (check out reaction at -:13). Heartbreaking!!”

She posted the video of Cinnamon and it quickly went viral, and she or he was soon flooded with offers to adopt her. But when an honest friend of Sleime said that she wanted her family to satisfy Cinnamon, Cinnamon would find a family on the verge of going home. “I have a special place in my heart for pit bulls,” Meghan Shelton told The Dodo. “I think they’re a really misunderstood dog and a misunderstood breed. Once I saw her video and really cried in the cage, I cried. My kids cried. I showed my husband, and he said we could go check out her tomorrow.” The moment Shelton and her family met Cinnamon, her tail wouldn’t stop wagging, and her face lit up happily . Sleime also captured this moment in the video. In it, you'll see Cinnamon shop around the space with a smile on her face. It’s as if she knows she won the jackpot and just doesn’t know who to kiss first!

The Shelton family knew Cinnamon – whom they renamed Rosie – was meant to return home with them. The family already features a Pit Bull – a 3-year-old male named Blu. They told the Dodo they weren’t sure how Rosie and Blu would get along and planned to introduce them to every other slowly.

But the two dogs were too impatient, whining and unable to satisfy each other. As soon as they did, they acted as if they’ve known one another for years. Shelton says Rosie has worked her way into their hearts and that they already can’t imagine life without her.

As for Sleime, she’s happy She is ready to let Cinnamon be her happy ending.
