Sugar Is a 9-year-old American bulldog mix, that's living in the Humane Society of Greater Miami shelter for quite 7 and a half years, but not constantly.
The shelter meet Sugar when she was just one-year-old in 2011, when her first owner claimed that the lovable dog was a gift to them, but they got no time to give the dog the care and a spotlight she needs.
Sugar stayed around two months on the shelter when she got adopted again, but her second owner returned her one year later claiming that they had ‘’landlord issues’’ This prevented them from leaving her at home.
Sugar found a new home the next day, and the staff at the asylum were very happy, hoping her luck would improve on this point. She or he will eventually find her forever home, but that wasn't the case, Sugar got brought back to the shelter again after 3 and a half years, because her owner has become homeless. Sugar stayed with the shelter and then the staff for two more years, when someone decided to adopt her again and welcome her into their lives and houses, but they gave abreast of Sugar only 3 months after, because apparently she needed too much attention. Spent several years in the asylum, and knew all the staff very well, it was heartbreaking to see Sugar identified the asylum as her forever home.
