Sick Dog Dumped In Deserted Wetland Sees A Light Flashing On Him And Looks Up

The dog was very sick and realized that no one was going to help him. So he found a lonely corner and waited to die. That’s when the lights flashed on him. A dog named Powder was dumped in the middle of the Florida Everglades by his heartless owners. The dog had no idea how to defend himself in the deserted wetland. He went hungry for days and then the harsh environment caused him to develop several infections. The poor dog realized that nobody was ever getting to find him, so he found a lone spot and waited to die.

That’s when a visiting couple spotted the scared and confused Powder and reached bent him. They called the cops at Broward Sheriff’s Office and guaranteed the weakened dog that he would be getting help soon. But when the cops arrived, they realized that Powder was too sick to stand. The cops comforted Powder, gave him food and water, and eventually gained his trust. Then, they carried him to the car. They contacted Dezzy’s Second Chance Animal Rescue and handed over the dog to them for emergency aid. But Powder’s checkup revealed that the dog wouldn’t have survived for long in the wetland.

KarenAnnGera Powder has severe hemorrhagic mange and internal infection. He needed eye surgery, but the vet postponed the surgery until his infections subside. There’s an extended road of recovery before him, but a minimum of he's in good hands now. Although Powder’s owner might never be found, it haunts us to think that the person intentionally left a dog to die in the wilderness. We hope Powder recovers soon and finds a forever home with a responsible family that never abandons him. Stay strong, good boy!
