Retired Nurse Starts Hospice For Dogs Who Are Dumped At The End Of Their Lives

Nicola can't stand to think about dogs spending their end days in a shelter without the love they deserve, so she creates a bucket list for each that includes a steak dinner and trip to the seaside!

Nicola Coyle has always cared for dogs, but after retiring as a nurse, she was ready to put all of her energy into providing for those abandoned in the last days of their lives. She founded Grey Muzzle Canine Hospice in Mansfield, England, to bathe these dogs.amorously.

Nicola can’t stand to believe dogs spending their end days during a shelter without the love they deserve, so she takes them in. Any dog deemed to possess six months or less to measure or any dog on the euthanasia list may be a candidate.

She creates a bucket list for every dog that she welcomes into her home, and it always includes a steak dinner at the local pub and a visit to the seaside! Nicola now takes care of two or three dogs at a time and arranges fosters for others. No matter how much time is left for these dogs, Nicola is willing to make the most of them!
