In September, construction workers spotted the 6-year-old German shepherd while walking to employment site in Southeast Texas. They gave the thirsty puppy some water and notified local rescuers to Be Intentional. At the vet, an examination revealed that Athena was in rough shape: “She had a harness that was way too small for her that was removed,” Christie Kasko, founding father of Be Intentional, told The Dodo. “She had every parasite in her system. But despite everything, all Athena wants is to snuggle. “She is an absolute doll at the vet hospital,” Kasko said. “They have fallen crazy together with her .” While Athena was being treated for multiple infections, she learned that the simplest thanks to get love and additional treats was to carry up her bowl whenever one among her carers walked by. “She gets many attention and many of food,” Kasko said. “But she has found out that holding her bowl together with her cute little face tends to urge her more cuddles.” Be Intentional worked with the Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd Rescue Team to find Athena, a foster caregiver who can help her get care Will not go to her new life. And slowly, Athena is learning to trust.
"She are going to be pampered to without stopping ," Karen Blanchard of Sauver Des Chiens told The Dodo. "She has an orthopedic bed, an open crate and much of bowls to hold around." And soon, Athena is going to be able to find her forever home. “She will continue healing and transition to a life amorously and a family,” Kasko said. “Her life are going to be forever changed for the higher .”
