A dog rescue group in Istanbul, Iran, received a call about a dog who was discovered lying on the bed of an old truck, chained up all day in the scorching heat. “He was physically broken,” Paws 4 Hope wrote. “And when the volunteer visited see him, he didn’t really make any effort to return and say hello. It’s almost like he had given up, and he was just expecting his time to return .”
The poor abandoned dog was extremely malnourished and ill from several different tick-borne diseases. Due to a severe skin infection, his fur is gone, so there are many ticks and fleas all over his body. He was rushed to the vet, where they began treatment for his skin and diseases. For the most time in his life, this dog was finally receiving the care he needed.
They decided to call him Gol and promised him a way better life from here on out. He has since been adopted by a loving mom who will still give him the simplest care and love him unconditionally. Watch his rescue in the video below:
