Dog saved from flood in Mexico, gets taken in by the Mexican marines who saved him: Hurricane Eta and Tropical Storm Gamma have devastated Tabasco, Mexico with a number of the worst flooding the world has seen in fifty years. The damage has left dozens of people dead and hundreds missing, and countless lives are changed forever.

Since the storms passed, the Mexican Marine Secretariat (SEMAR) has been checking out anyone who needs help, and that they found one lucky dog clinging to a house for dear life.

He sweet Labrador pup was half-submerged in the flood waters, exhausted and terrified when the Marines pulled up. OneA Marine patted the dog and assured him that they were friends and could help. Thankfully, it didn’t take much convincing — the dog used almost all its scarce remaining strength to modify over from the window to the boat, and then the Marine pulled him up to safety. This dog’s story doesn’t end here, though.

After he was transported to land, the dog was taken to be examined for medical maladies, and therefore, the Marines looked for any owner who might come to say him. When nobody did, they decided to adopt him into their official nautical family. In fact, they need hope that with a while and training, this lucky pup might become a rescue dog himself!

What began as a terrifying situation for a helpless dog has now became a cheerful ending for both the four-legged friend and then the Marines who rescued him. He doesn’t have a reputation yet, but we imagine they’ll detect an idealistic one for him!
