Homeless Beagle with Lymphoma Will Spend Last Christmas with New Family

They put out a special Christmas wish when they learned there was nothing that could help him.



A plea to seek out a terminally ill Beagle a forever home for Christmas has been answered. Griswold, an 8-year-old beagle battling lymphoma, will spend what could be his last Christmas with a loving family. Richmond Animal League (RAL) put out the decision to seek out Griswold a home after they learned there was no long-term treatment that would help him. Griswold also has chronic dry eye and a few skin issues.



“We do understand together with his prognosis, it'll be a special home, but he's a special dog and that we are confident that there's somebody out there who will love this guy, for however long he has,” Kaicee Robertson said. Griswold loves Cheese Wiz, snuggles, and food. The homeless dog was one among 51 animals that the shelter in Chesterfield County, Virginia, included in their seventh annual Operation Silent Night.



The holiday adoption event aims to find a home for each animal in the shelter during the holiday period.vacations. Griswold didn’t need to wait long, however. “On the primary night of Operation Silent Night, Griswold found his family,” RAL writes.




Griswold is certain to be spoiled this Christmas.
