There is little doubt that Cheyenne didn’t know she had been abandoned by her family. Sadly, since November 7, 2020, she and her sweet friend Sadie are doing their best to regulate the asylum life at the Carson Animal Care Center. Sadie was fortunately adopted last week.

During her assessment, Cheyenne at times stopped to interact with nearby dogs. She did so during a mellow manner, but prefers to stay to herself. Please share her plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. Cheyenne came to the front of the kennel when the runner arrived. She stood with a closed mouth, soft eyes, a relaxed body, neutral ears, and a loose wag. She sniffed the runner’s hand and leash when presented to her and continued to attend in situ patiently. She allowed the runner to leash her with ease and exited the kennel on her own. From there, Cheyenne was led to the yard where she walked with a neutral posture. She walked nicely alongside the runner and bypassed all the barking dogs on the way. Cheyenne was led into the catch pen upon arrival and allowed herself to be collared with no issues. She was tolerant of necessary adjustments and walked away to explore the encompassing environment until she was led into the yard. Cheyenne then casually approached the opposite dogs and greeted them with a closed mouth, soft eyes, a relaxed body, neutral ears and a mild wag. She walked away when finished and went off to familiarize herself with the yard. When finished, Cheyenne at times stopped to interact with nearby dogs. She does this in a gentle way, but generally prefers to keep herself. Cheyenne is ok for public adoption. She features a gentle-dainty play style and is tolerant of other dogs.”
