Beautiful Bianca had lived 7 years on the streets but she needed help and a home fast...Watching her rescue made me so emotional.
A street dog named Bianca lived on the streets of Greece for several years until a condition called Degenerative myelopathy began to form her limp a couple of months ago. But once rescuers at SPAZ, a dog rescue organization, learned about her, she was close to be rescued and rehomed in record time.
Valia Orfanidou of The Orphan Pet writes: “I only met her fortnight ago and Her rescue home story is the fastest and most amazing story ever. Degenerative myelopathy is what first made her limp months ago, and because the months glided by, she kept getting worse and worse, until she was unable to face on her feet and began dragging the hind a part of her body. Anearly all the people working nearby are taking care of her for years. “She had a house made from wooden boards, she was being fed (overfed probably, which makes her condition worsen – it’s one among the most important problems when strays are in that lookout of by many people), some have purchased her x-rays et al. for a replacement wheelchair. But the road was not an area where Bianca is often safe.
“It wasn't that easy. A dog like her can't be during a shelter, she can't be during a clinic, she cannot live anywhere else but a during a home – and finding a home for a paralyzed, 7 year old, 30 kilo dog wasn't easy. In fact, it almost looked impossible, but Bianca got very lucky.” Watch Bianca’s touching story in the video below. It’s heartwarming to find out that Bianca is going to be as happy and as healthy as possible for the few months she has left!
