Loyal Dog Stands Outside Hospital For Days Waiting For His Dad

"Even if we take him home, he runs away and comes here, waiting for my father."

They say a dog may be a man's ally -- which was definitely the case for one tolerant a hospital in northeastern Turkey, whose loyal pet waited by the doorway for 6 days until he was discharged.




When Cemal Senturk was transferred by ambulance to Medical Park Hospital in Trabzon on January 14, his dog, Boncuk, escaped from their apartment and followed him to the power, where she waited patiently every day.

Hospital staff informed Senturk's family about the whereabouts of his canine friend.



But after Boncuk was brought back home, he managed to flee again -- and returned to the hospital every day, Murat Ercan, the hospital's international patient center director, told CNN. The hospital said Senturk's apartment was nearby, which the family wasn't sure how the dog kept escaping. "His dog 'Boncuk' has followed him to the hospital gate and refused to go away for 6 days until her owner was discharged," Ercan said during a statement.
