Stray dog 'cries' tears of joy after kind stranger feeds him on the street

The dog was filmed standing on his two hind legs as if he was begging for food. He welled up every time the kind-hearted woman came to visit with sausages but has sadly disappeared

A stray dog has been filmed "crying" tears of joy after a stranger came and fed him some much-needed food on the road. The poor pooch was found wandering near a park in the city of Jinzhong, Shanxi province of northern China earlier in the week.

Footage shared by the lady, who doesn't wish to be named, shows the tiny dog standing on his hind legs while swinging his front legs as if he's begging for food.

The scruffy canine appears to be up when the lady gives him sausage. Another clip shows the kind animal lovers revisiting the park the next day looking for dogs. The excited mutt seems to recognize her and greets her with a wagging tail.

As soon as she brings the snacks out, the dog is seen getting teary again. The woman told local newspaper Xiaoxiang Morning Post that she tried to hold the dog to her car but he quickly jumped down. She said: "Me and my friends were on the thanks to a park once we saw the stray dog. "He started crying once we gave him food and that I tried to place him in our car only one occasion, but he refused and jumped back on the road .

"The dog feared that we might grab him just like the dog snatchers because that is what they might do – luring the dogs to the minivan with food before fleeing." She went back to the world on Wednesday (December 23) but couldn't see the dog around. "I've tried to seem for it a couple of times these few days but I could not find him," she added. "I might try my luck asking the road cleaners later."

The clip has gone viral on Douyin, a Chinese equivalent of TikTok, where viewers hoped for the dog's safe return.

One wrote: "It's a dog with soulful eyes. Please don't hurt him." A second commented: "Hope the dog didn't get snatched away!"
