No One Stepped-Up To Foster Dog That Bit Everyone, Rescue Made 1 More Call

The little dog had bitten everyone she met. Would this mean they'd have to put her down or would someone finally step up and give her a chance?

As they assert, it’s not the dimensions of the dog but the fight within the dog that counts. And boy can that be true. One Canis Minor that basically needed a second chance wasn’t ready to get one because she was a bite risk.

A rescue team reached out to the crooked foster care as much as possible and explained that she had a tendency to bite.bite. NobodyNo one wants to ask for prospects.prospect. That is until one woman, named Niko, couldn’t fathom leaving the small dog without a family. She knew it wouldn’t be easy but she was up for a challenge. When she picked the dog up in her crate, she could see that the dog was afraid. She stood tightly in the corner. Niko thought it might be less traumatic if she just left the crate door open and see what happened next.

But the small dog wouldn’t budge. Knowing she’d follow her hand, Niko used a treat to softly pet her. It appeared to calm her down a touch. They drove to Niko’s house and this is often when things became challenging. How would she put a leash on her and take her out for a walk? Well, Niko just had to urge creative!

She used a roll of paper towels to prop the dog’s head , far away from her, as she carefully placed the harness around her little body. Boy was that nerve-wracking! But once they went outside for a walk, it had been as if something clicked and therefore, the dog felt safer. Once they came home, she laid close to her new foster mom.

Niko was still hesitant to pet her since she did try to bite her a couple of times but with persistence and kindness, she earned her trust. She will gently stroke her back. The dog understood from Niko’s gentle hand that it had been all getting to be okay.

One month later, the puppy has completely accepted the love.affection. It had been as if she was reborn! Now, all Niko has to do is to find her a permanent home. Would people be afraid to open their hearts, and home, to a dog that has bitten people before? Would she get her second chance and live a fruitful life?
