Tearful owner surrendered his dog to shelter after landlord said no

The photo of a tearful owner surrendering his dog at the Miami-Dade Animal Services on Monday broke the hearts of animal advocates everywhere. the 2 had been together since Chance was just a puppy, and now three years later, the owner embraced his dog for the last time.

When the owner recently moved, he tried to get an emotional support certificate to stay Chance, but it wasn’t done properly and so the landlord denied his request.

According to the group Rescue Me Miami Animal Shelter, a social media page that networks the dogs from the shelter to assist save their lives, rumors that Chance’s owner is homeless and turned in the dog because he couldn't afford to stay him aren't true.

“We are working alongside Adriana Orozco to assist this pup. Pledges are needed as we don't know the precise plan for him yet. we'll need to look out of this pup a bit like We keep an eye on all our rescue babies. we'll take Chance under rescue, if the owner can do everything he must get his pup some time past Chance are going to be going back to his dad. If not then we'll need to find Chance an honest home, we don’t want Chance ending up within the wrong hands as some not so reputable people now have their eyes on him.”
