The unlikely family instantly brought tears to everyone.
Remember Mohammad Alaa Jaleel, better known as the cat man of Aleppo? He’s still providing a refuge for cats that are left behind due to war in Syria. His house, a permanent home for about 80 felines, has just become home for an unlikely friendship between a dog and a cat that found they're missing pieces in one another .
Recently, he met a stray dog and began to take care of it.also. After discovering that she was pregnant, Alaa gave up his room, so the mother could have a cushty resting place. A few of weeks ago, the dog they eventually named Amira went into labor. Sadly, all three of her pups were stillborn.
“We were sad and shocked… We gave her a stuffed teddy and tried to cuddle together with her because she was very sad,” Alessandra Abidin, volunteer of the rescue group, told Love Meow.
Then, and there, Junior, a kitten they took in from the streets also, noticed the teddy, and decided to approach it and then, the dog for a few cuddles. Junior slowly made her thanks to Amira. Then, she wiped her face on Amila, and their beautiful friendship began. They ditched the teddy and sunk their paws into each other .
“We found them playing together, and therefore the kitten climbed on her back, and (Amira) was completely fine and even appeared to be smiling,” Alessandra said. They share food, play and even take naps together. They both had a troublesome start but overcame the devastating grief with sweet, sweet love.
This is Amira, a dog that had recently been rescued from the streets of Aleppo, Syria. When they brought her home, Amira’s saviors noticed that she was pregnant. Sadly, all three of her pups were stillborn. However, they also picked up a kitten from the street, Junior, who noticed that Amira was spending time with the teddy bear.
Junior slowly made her thanks to Amira’s paws. Then she wiped her face on Amila, and their beautiful friendship began. Now, they share food.
And even naps! The boy became a puppy that Amila had never had before. And they’re doing everything together.
