‘Ugly’ pit bull that no one wanted finally finds a home after long wait

All dogs that sleep in shelters have only one wish: to urge adopted and find a loving forever home, but this wish unfortunately it takes longer for a few to become real.

The cruel reality is that humans adopt pets supported their looks and appearances and typically search for the sweet puppies and overlook the more older and not so ” cute” dogs. But regardless of what every dog deserves love and a forever home, a bit like this pooch that waited four years to seek out his family and eventually got his wish. This is Wally the sweet Pit bull who doesn’t appear as if you're ordinary pooch, but he had a rough life and now, all that he wanted was some love and care. When Wally was delivered to the Town of Islip Animal Shelter on Long Island , New York, he was a stray and almost 10 years old.

He was experiencing some health issues including, blindness in one eye and skin infection report The Dodo. All this gave the poor dog an appearance that worried the shelter staff, they were afraid he never would get adopted. The pooch proved to possess a tremendous personality and have become the favorite dog amongst the staff.

“He likes to slobber on you and can do anything for a few food,” veterinary tech Danielle Gorle told The Dodo. “He also likes to only hang around and not do anything.” “Wally is a tremendous walrus/hippo/rhino dog that basically just needs a home that accepts him and to spend his time of life in!” Jen, a volunteer at the shelter, wrote on Facebook. “He may be a little mush and a volunteer favorite.” Many visitors sadly couldn’t see past the dog appearance, and he had to attend a year to seek out his home, since he also needed to be a 1 because he doesn’t work well with other animals.

The staff of the shelter reported that not being adopted began to affect his health. “He seems to be declining,” said Gorle. “He was happier when he first came in. He likes when he gets to travel out but he seems depressed in his kennel.” But thankfully Wally’s story features a happy ending. Since a month after he went viral and that we first reported on the dog, the shelter announced that Wally had found his forever home, finally. “He is relaxing comfortably and appears great!” the shelter wrote. We are so happy for the sweet furry, every dog deserves love and care.
