Dog Brought To Hospital To say Goodbye To Her Dying Owner

They wanted his dog to say bye-byegoodbye, so she'd know why her human never came home. Mollie has always been faithful to her human, Ryan Jessen, 33. She was still by his side, but when he was hospitalized for a brain hemorrhage from which he would not recover, his family took her to his bedside to say goodbye.

Michelle Jessen, Jessen's sister, explained what happened next on Facebook: "The hospital did the sweetest thing for us and allowed us to bring my brother's dog in to'say goodbye' so she could understand why her human never came home." If you met my pal, you'd know how much he adored his adoring canine.” It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, but Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville, California, was gracious enough to allow a dog named Mollie to bid farewell to her homeowner, Ryan Jessen, on November 30.

Jessen died the next day from a ventricular brain hemorrhage at the age of 33, according to Michelle's Facebook post. While the video was most likely intended for their immediate friends and family, it has moved people all over the world. The family says they have been "sincerely touched and humbled" by the outpouring of love and support from so many people. Michelle made a point of assuring everyone that Mollie would be well-cared for. “Don't be concerned about the puppy! We're going to hold her!!!She is a member of the family.”
