Dying Homeless Puppy Wags Her Tail One Last Time In A Final Attempt To Get Help

The puppy was suffering from distemper and knew she was on her deathbed. When she saw someone passing by, she made a last-ditch plea for help.

Distemper is one of the leading causes of death among unvaccinated street dogs. This infectious virus, which targets the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and central nervous systems of dogs, is frequently fatal.

In this video, we observe Animal Aid Unlimited personnel attempting to save a young homeless puppy suffering from distemper.

The dog had been infected for weeks but had got no treatment because she was a homeless baby. She was eventually discovered collapsed by a roadside, wagging her tail in the hopes of seeking rescue.

The rescue crew realized the dog was dying, but they wanted to give her a chance to heal.  She received intensive care treatment for 14 days, which included antibiotics and fluids.

Despite her excruciating discomfort, the dog was grateful to have humans look after her for the first time in her life.

She gradually improved with each passing day!  It was a magical moment for the care team when the puppy regained the strength to stand on all fours and walk again!

She was so overjoyed with her victory that she dashed to her saviors and hugged them tightly. Her bright smiles and never-ending tail wags made our day!

To see how the rescue crew struggled against all odds to save this puppy's life, watch the video below.
