This poor pup was found with metal wire wrapped around his mouth and a heart murmur that required surgery. An update was long overdue.
So, unless you've been living under a rock (pun intended), you're definitely familiar with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Not only is he a huge celebrity and former wrestler turned into a superstar, but he is also a huge dog lover.
When the Dwayne Johnson puppy was found and transported to the Los Angeles animal shelter, things did not look optimistic. Volunteers at the shelter worked carefully and patiently with bolt cutters to remove a metal wire that had been entangled around the puppy's mouth, requiring 17 stitches in the process. But then something worse happened to the poor puppy Dwayne: It has been determined that this 4-month-old dog has a grade 6 heart murmur-the highest grade.

Surgery was necessary to save his life, and the shelter would not be able to do this without first raising the necessary funds: $5,000. The puppy Dwayne Johnson desires peace and tranquility and cannot be kept in a cage because stress can cause a fatal heart attack. The Los Angeles animal shelter set up a GoFundMe account for the puppy, which was seen by actress Michelle Trachtenberg, who took it upon herself to tweet a shout-out to real-life Dwayne Johnson:

When real-life Dwayne Johnson learned of the puppy's suffering, he jumped into action, paying $1,500 toward the life-saving surgery.
