Puppy Won’t Stop Hugging Man Who Saved Her From Slaughterhouse

Sanie was cowering in her cage, terrified she was about to die. But watch the moment she realized her life was about to change.

After being rescued from a slaughterhouse, a 4-month-old dog clung to her savior and wouldn't let go.

Michael Chour, the founder of The Sound of Animals, saved Sanie just before she was to be butchered by persuading the owner to hand her up. He was visiting a dog meat farm in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in order to save as many dogs as possible. When he went to find her, Sani cowered in her cage, afraid of the people around her.

“She was still afraid as I stepped out of the cage, and she was staring at the butcher,” Chour told the Dodo. “However, as I turned my back on him, she pushed herself against me and buried her head beneath mine.”

Choir said, "She hugged me and didn't let go." “I took her to the vet clinic and tried to place her on the floor, but she wouldn't let go.”

Chour believes Sanie had a family before being kidnapped and sold for meat by thieves. But he knows she's at ease now. “She knows I saved her and she feels my love,” Chord explained. “Dogs are intelligent and understand what is going on.”

Although he cannot find her biological family, he hopes to find a new loving family for Sani. Several of the dogs he has saved have been adopted by European families. Sanie will be cared for by Choir and the other dogs he has saved at his Blue Dream sanctuary, where she will be able to recuperate and learn to trust humans.
