A group of youngsters saw a hurt dog lying on the side of the road and called 911, saving the dog’s life! Russ Harper, a humanitarian police officer from the Justice Rescue Team, came to pick the young bulldog and found the dog cold and lifeless when he picked it up.
Harper thought the dog was actually dead until he saw the symbol of life. Harper drove the dog he named Remy to the Keystone Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Havertown, Pennsylvania. The young dog had been repeatedly used as a bait dog by dog fighters, and was covered in bite marks.
The Pit Bull is fighting a severe infection and is showing signs of recuperating, but isn't out of the woods yet.
Remi is being monitored around the clock by the vet clinic. “He remains struggling,” writes Justice Rescue. “But I feel we will see that his mama nurses are taking excellent care of this world wide hero.”
At the same time, Justice Rescue offers a $1,000 reward to find those responsible for harming Remi. Anyone with information can report it anonymously at abuse@justice-rescue.com or by calling 215-942-6363.
I hope Remix makes it! And an enormous “thumbs up” to the youngsters who called 911 to rescue this poor dog!
