Mockingjay was only 8 weeks old when the disaster occurred. The tiny, stray puppy was starving. She was so hungry that she tried to pull the discarded chicken bones from the dying campfire, but was severely burned.
Fortunately, the injured puppy was sent to the Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand for treatment. The poor puppy suffered from burns to his face, legs and paws. But with the medical attention, love and care she received at the hands of her rescuers, she has healed and has begun a replacement chapter in her life.
