Abandoned Dog Begs Rescuers to Take Him With Them and Away From Horrible Place

Charlie is a stray dog who lives only on the kindness of strangers. He loved people thought he was found during a “horrible place” known for being a dumping ground for unwanted and unloved dogs. But on a fateful day, three rescue workers arrived, and his life was about to change.

“Aspropyrgos is an industrial suburb within the outskirts of Athens, and a wasteland. Allie, Laura and I spent a whole day there, walking around with an area volunteer who rescued, fed and cared for dozens of stray dogs,” wrote Valia with the Orphan Pet.

“One of them was Charlie, who had just been abandoned there and was too loving to ignore. He just begged us to require him with us and that we did.” Watch the video below to listen to the remainder of Charlie’s rescue story, as told by “Charlie.” Says Valia, “Charlie may be a dog, that if he could speak, he would. you'll almost hear his voice, when he looks at you together with his beautiful, huge eyes, so I had him tell his own story. Animals need to have their own voice anyway.”
