Dog Who's Never Been Inside Before Takes Her First Nap In A Real Bed

Sundae was rescued from a dog-hoarding situation in Oklahoma City and had never been inside before, but her first nap in a bed changed everything.

For Sundae’s entire life, all she’d know was a junk-filled backyard and a chilly garage.

Rescue Society, the coonhound/Labrador retriever mix gave birth to a litter of puppies without ever stepping foot inside a home. That is, until her adoptive mother showed her what it means to have a warm bed. As soon as Sundae lay right down to rest, the design of relief on her face was instantaneous. Sundae knew that she was safe.

“We’ve had her for a few week, and you'd never know that she’s never been an inside dog before,” Sundae’s foster mom, who goes by the username Muggle queen, wrote on Reddit. “She’s totally potty trained, incredibly gentle and she’s very polite indoors”.

Mugglequeen gave her name to Sundae because it looks very suitable for her sweetness, so the chocolate, vanilla and caramel colors on her face are beautiful. At first, Sundae was cautious around men, but after her foster mom left a pair of her boyfriend's shorts on the bed — Sundae’s favorite place — she began to warm up to him.

Now, Sundae is the most affectionate girl, as long as she wants, she always hugs her adoptive mother. “She likes to sleep as close as possible to me in bed,” Mugglequeen wrote. “I think she’s just making up for eight-ish years of zero affection.”

After bidding farewell without medical assistance, Sundae finally received the treatment she deserved. The vet found her to be heartworm positive and in need of some dental work, but she's otherwise in healthiness . All her puppies are being cared for by other foster families, and now Sundae's only job is to attend for the proper family to return along and fall crazy together with her .

“Her perfect family would have a really chill lifestyle and have plenty of patience to assist her still begin of her shell and gain confidence,” Mugglequeen said. “She will stick with me until her perfect forever family comes along!” Hopefully, it won't take too long for somebody to feature this loving mama dog to their family and gain a snuggle buddy for all times .
