An elderly dog believed to be about 12-years-old was found by the DSPCA in Dublin, Ireland; the dog had been “curled up during a little ball by the roadside.”
According to the organization’s Facebook page, the dog is blind and has a severe dental disease. No one knows how long he stayed on the side of the road.
“If only he could talk we could ask him what happened, how long he suffered, who left him there, was he ever loved, was he ever wanted?”
Upon examination, the dog, believed to be a Bichon, has severely inflamed skin from his paws to his shoulders and since of the apparent pain, didn’t want his rescuers touching him. Even his ears were so infected and sore, the dog – now dubbed “McDreamy” was filthy, matted with feces embedded into his coat and unable to learn because the fur covered his eyes.
McDreamy is safe now, and his horrible past is behind him. Many because of the great Samaritan who found him on the side of the road and called out for help.
