Dog Rescued From Flood Returns To Guard His Owner’s House Despite The Risk Of Drowning

We all have a special place in our hearts for our animals. Some it'd be our family dog, others our cozy cat, either way animals tend to carry a special place in our lives. This story might cause you to cry, so grab the tissues.

Meet Druzhok. His master Elena Andreevs (Elena Andreevs) talked about him and said: “If he wants to frolic, no chain will stop him. He will break it and run away. And when he’s had enough he comes and shows his neck like he’s saying, ‘Leash me, I’m ready.'”

“Druzhok” means “Little Friend,” and this past summer he proved that he’ll abscond if he pleases, but also that he lives up to his name.

In August, the Andreevs’ and 100,000 others in their area had to be evacuated due to flooding. Of course, they took Druzhok with them. They visited stick with some friends who weren't suffering from the floods. These friends live in a small apartment, so Druzhok lives outside. For a few of nights, he slept under their car, guarding it, and waiting like everyone else for the flooding to travel down and life to travel back to normal. On the other hand on the third morning, he was gone. they might not find him anywhere, he was nowhere to be found.

They decided to ask a boat to return to their home, hoping they could find him somewhere. There, they found him standing on the highest step of the porch, away from the water.

The poor guy looked scared. Rescuers in the area told them that he wouldn’t allow them into the house and he that he refused to be taken to safety. He stood the guard of his home. But then, as soon as he heard his owners voices, he jumped right off and swam to them! Swimming to his owners. He was finally rescued, and him and his owners couldn’t be more happy!

His owner continues the story and says: “We sailed into the yard and saw him. He was standing there and trembling, and wouldn’t move far away from his place. But when he saw us, he was very happy. We took him aboard, and he rushed over to lick us. We all were so happy.”

This just proves how loyal dogs actually are.
