Puppy So Relieved To Be Rescued He Buries His Face in Rescuer's Arms

A tiny puppy abused and cast aside is safe in the arms of rescuers

After receiving a call from an honest Samaritan, they were in Stray Rescue in St. Louis. Related callers told them that the dog was worried about the residents hiding in the garbage dump, where tons of neighbors dumped garbage and unwanted items.

A wicked person thought that’s where this puppy belonged. Rescuers noticed “Chowder” had wounds on his face. “He’s just a touch puppy! His eyes are tousled and he has puncture wounds on his face. Despite what he’s been through, he's so happy,” Stray Rescue wrote on Facebook. “He is safe now.”

When Donna approached Chowder, he wagged his tail to let her pick him up.up. The great Samaritan told them that there are people within the neighborhood involved “with Pitbulls, meaning dog fighting. Poor Chowder was probably used as a bait dog and bitten by an enormous dog. The moment they got Chowder within the car, he buried his head in one among their shoulders with relief.

“He just buried his face in our arms on his freedom ride,” they wrote. “The thought of anyone treating him bad makes us so weepy. This angel needs us. We’re so grateful to the callers for taking action.”

Upon seeing the touching photograph, one among Stray Rescue’s supporters wrote, “It’s like he's passing his weight of pain on to the shoulders of somebody which will heal him! Oh my heart!”

Chowder is now on his thanks to a cheerful life. Once he has been “fixed up” he is going to be trying to find his forever home.
