In addition, Xena the Chihuahua required a limb amputation owing to injuries sustained in the collision. She gave birth simultaneously.

Xena has earned the title of fierce warrior woman.

The Chihuahua was injured by a car while giving birth and landed up at Fuzz Ball Animal Rescue in Hermiston, Oregon.

Due to injuries sustained in the collision, they rushed the dog to the Oregon Trail Veterinary Clinic to have her leg removed.

Due to the baby's size, Xena also had an urgent C-section because a vaginal delivery was not possible.

What transpired following the birth?

The rescue revealed the thrilling conclusion to this story on Wednesday. Both the Chihuahua mother and her healthy newborn boy recovered from their surgery.

"It's nice to see how well both are doing! This is a very amazing miracle. This mother is a fighter, and her child is too, the rescue wrote on Facebook. "To have endured being ran over, being in labor with a dog that was too huge to come out, having a limb amputated while still in shock, and living on the streets! They are tiny wonders, indeed!
