I found him in a cemetery, emaciated, exhausted, dehydrated and barely breathing

I found Mau, a dog who was about 2 years old, in a graveyard. He was so thin that he looked like a skeleton. He was also tired, thirsty, and his breathing was so weak that he was helpless on the side of the road. Many people walked by, but no one cared because they thought the boy was dead.

When I looked at Mau, I couldn't stop the tears from coming out of my eyes. I felt sorry for his sad fate. I got Mau out of that awful place quickly. All the vets were closed because it was a holiday, so I had to bring Mau home. I tried to feed him, but Mau didn't want to eat. He just laid down in the corner and looked sad. Mau and I were at the Veterinary hospital at 8 a.m.

The doctor sent him right away for an MRI scan because he thought he might have a problem with his spine. The results shocked me. At that time, he was carrying two bullets, one in front of his chest and the other in the middle of his spine. They had been inside Mau's body for a long time and would be very hard to get rid of. All of the liver, kidney, and digestive system indices were very low, and there was no sign of infection. It was awful and painful for the people who had to live like this every day. He got better slowly while the doctor tried to figure out how to get rid of the bullet. But Mau never got a miracle. His body stopped being able to walk completely. Even though that was very sad, the most important thing was that Mau was still there with me. The hospital has sent our sweet, quiet, and calm boy home. The doctors didn't want to take the bullet because they thought there would be a lot of problems with the surgery.

Thank god there are some animal loving people in the world,❤️Too sad that there are so many who do not have any respect or love for them. How people can pass by an animal who is obviously suffering just fills me with hatred and anger.

I am always amazed when the solutions chosen so many times are either amputation for severely broken leg or in this case do no surgery to repair his spine. It is possible you know. There are specialists at veterinary research hospitals who could probably successfully fix his problem. Manhattan KS has an excellent one. Tragic that with all the "go fund me " things out there, no one ever looks at taking an animal somewhere big and highly focused. Would you go to a Nurse Practitioner for Open heart surgery?

I don't disagree with what you said, but from the finder's story and the shape the poor pup was in, I have agree with the decision for euthanasia. If there was a university clinic or animal emergency hospital nearby, they may have been able to save him, but even then it would be iffy for him to be relieved from his pain. Tough situation.

Someone obviously did not watch the video or read the story. He was NOT euthanized, went home, is doing well, and owner is planning of getting him a doggy wheelchair to support his back legs so he can run!
