She spent 6 eternal years tied to a short chain inside a shed until someone intervened

Writes fancy4work, "Imagine living outside on a short chain and your only shelter was a doghouse that was too small for you to get in or stand in."

A dog in Greece lived like this for six years before it was finally saved.

Libby was chained up in this doghouse for years.

Takis, who started an animal rescue group in Greece, got a call from a neighbor who said there was a dog tied up outside that was in very bad shape.

Takis started his Takis Shelter project when he saw how many hungry stray dogs and cats there were in his hometown.

Takis, who started an animal rescue group in Greece, got a call from a neighbor who said there was a dog tied up outside that was in very bad shape.

Takis started his Takis Shelter project when he saw how many hungry stray dogs and cats there were in his hometown.

He spent his life rescuing and taking care of over 300 dogs, 50 cats, 6 goats, and 2 sheep because he couldn't stand to watch animals suffer.

Takis went to the house where the animal was chained and talked the owner out of keeping it.

He moved slowly toward the dog, which was afraid and barking. She was trying to keep herself safe because people had never been kind to her.

When Libby was only two months old, she was chained up in a yard.

She hid in the back of her small house, shaking with fear. Takis said that the dog's nails were long and that she was thin.

He spoke quietly to her and told her, "We'll be friends." Since dogs can tell a lot about a person's character, it didn't take her long to figure out that Takis was a good man who wanted to help her.

Little by little, Takis was making Libby fall in love with him.

He saw that her back legs were "not normal" when she came out of the kennel. She thought she was born that way, but Takis found out that her careless owners had chained her up when she was just two months old and never let her move around freely.

He let the dog off the chain and took her with him. He named her Libby. This small animal would never be tied to a chain again.

Takis picked up Libby and took her away from the place that had been her "prison" for a long time.

He could now run, play, and fully enjoy his right to do so.

"He's free now," Takis tells Libby when she realizes she's no longer on a chain and can walk and run around the shelter freely.

Libby began wagging her tail and playing with other dogs as soon as she got to the shelter. When she saw some stray puppies who had just arrived at the shelter, the light came back into her eyes, and she found a goal.

She took care of them like a mother, and even though they're grown up now, they still play together. Libby is happy and healthy, and she will stay at the shelter for the rest of her life.

Now, Libby lives in peace and can move wherever she wants, without being hurt.

If this story made you think about how much harm we can do to animals by being careless or selfish, please tell other people about it.
