Introducing Mr. Snufflufugus, a five-year-old boy who was recently dumped on the streets of Texas and forced to fend for himself.
He was terrified and in a desperate situation as he wandered Copperas Cove, Texas, streets, waiting for help to arrive.

Fortunately, the local animal control department learned of his predicament and was able to track him down and transport him to the Copperas Cove Animal Control facility.
This charming dog warmed the hearts of everyone who was fortunate enough to witness the touching scene by showing his appreciation to his new pals as soon as he arrived at the shelter by giving them hugs.

This heartwarming moment was caught by an astute employee in a viral photo, which attracted a lot of attention and support for Mr. Snufflufugus's adoption.
"Victoria and I were in the play area with Mr. Snufflufugus when he decided he needed a hug," said Tamara Hall, the supervisor of animal control. The staff at the shelter instantly came to love Mr. Snufflufugus as they soon found out that he was a real snuggle bug who loved being near people.
Hall went on, "He will definitely try to get your attention by curling up close to you or getting onto your lap if you are sitting on the ground. He looks up for attention, using those enticingly lovely eyes.
Mr. Snufflufugus is not only a fantastic hugger but also a gregarious person who enjoys relaxing. "He would rather sit on the couch and be a potato, a good potato who gets many head scratches and gets to sit on your chest and snore, and is told quite often what a good boy he is," posted Victoria, one of the shelter's staff members, on Facebook.
Mr. Snufflufugus became well-known after the Copperas Cove Police Department shared his endearing picture, which prompted a flurry of adoption requests. Nevertheless, it was concluded that he required a home with only one pet and no small children because he would develop possessiveness issues.
Pit Squad Rescue in Minnesota received Mr. Snufflufugus because of the shelter's insufficient resources. In order to locate him the ideal forever home, they will carefully interview prospective adopters there. He also requires expensive veterinary care for heartworm treatment, but the rescue is committed to giving him another opportunity.
